Book of Derron Myths
Creating Skies
In the beginning there was absolutely nothing. There was not even a spec of light. Nothing was everything and everythingwas nothing. There were no stars in the night sky and no night in the sky and no sky at all. It was just pitch black. Suddenly there was a spark in the nothingness, a rip of time and space and thus the universe was born. Stars bursted into existance and so came Yunova, the hottest sun in the galaxy of Galtigus. However the stars became lonely and so they took chunks out of themselves to create asteroids. The asteroids ran around each sun. Sometimes they would clash into eachother creating planets. Yunova created 5 planets. Amongst these were 2 inhabitable planets, Creacsious and Derron. Derron was bigger than Creacsious. The planet was barren, nothing but rock. This was until a single being formed the world of Derron we know now, Terralis. She is mother Derron, the creator of everyone. She created mountains by pulling rock out of the ground, she formed craters by pressing her fingers against the surface and she made rivers with her tears. Now it was time for green. She created the forests and plains. All that was left was friends for her to live with, so she formed 5 beings. 1 of these was the Vulpen, bipedal fox like creatures. Over the years the Vulpiens became more intelligent and made tools from rocks and metals. Terralis adored these Vulpens and she nurtured them. This was how the land, sea and sky was formed.
Night and Day
Terralis enjoyed living peacefully in her new planet. Ironically it wasn't until the day the sun sneezed that Terralis wasn't happy. The sun sneezed flames across the solar system scorching the face of planets, Derron included. It wiped out 4 species and turned the forests and plains into desserts and the sea into sand. Terralis managed to save the Vulpiens. Her work was gone, deleted from history. She sobbed. She teared up. She cried. From her tears formed two beings, Day and Night. The two were sad about the destruction so they had an idea. If they moved the sun around the world and formed a moon then the world would grow back. So they formed a moon with asteroid debris and rose the sun and moon everyday. This was no use. Nothing grew back, at least now the sun wasn't always shining upon the planet. Terralis continued to cry and a new being was formed from a tear. Eclipse. He couldn't bare to watch his mother cry. So again Night came up with another idea. If they collected the tears of their mother and poured it on the sun, it would be enough for life to thrive. So Day created a huge bucket from metal and collected his mothers tears. Eclipse held the bucket and got ready to be launched by Day and Night. He was shot straight into space and raced to the sun. As soon as he was above it he poured the tears on the sun. The fire grew smaller but turned blue. It blasted Eclipse back to Derron. When he landed there was a crowd awaiting him. The Vulpen and Terralis cheered him. He enjoyed every minute of it and never spoke a word of his assistance from Day and Night. The two were furious. This was the last straw.
Regret
Day and Night did all the hard work. Eclipse took all the credit. This was not acceptable. As soon as the sky grew dark, Eclipse wen't to sleep. Day and Night met eachother at Eclipse's resting place, revenge in their eyes. They knocked down the door, awakening Eclipse. They cornered him, backing him into the corner. Eclipse looked at them with eyes of innocence but they neglected him. The next day Eclipse was missing. In his room was shattered pieces of his body. Terralis sobbed, she couldn't look at her two sons faces. Day and Night regretted everything. They had murdered their brother for no reason but jealousy. They couldn't face their crimes and so they ascended into the sky and until this day, continue to rise the moon and sun. Although Eclipse was no longer alive through flesh, he lived on in spirit. Every 18 months or so, when the sun is covered by the moon, Eclipse cries and casts a shadow on Derron. Terralis in the meanwhile had recreated her world and after she was done she fell into a deep sleep underground. She could finally rest. This was not the end of the Gods reign, from the shattered pieces of Eclipse, Night and Day formed new beings, the titans!
Ignitius
The Elementals
From the pieces of Eclipse and Day formed Dawn and from Eclipse and Night formed Dusk. They instantly fell in love and had four children. Ignitius was their first, taking the form of a wingless and rampant dragon, he was the god of fiery fury. Their second child was Aquariun, who, like his elder brother, took the form of a serpent like dragon. He was the god of the raging sea and controlled the sea. Followed by Aerijar, a beautiful human like figure who is commonly known to take the form of an owl with ram horns. She is the god of the whistling wind. The last of the elementals was Geomargon, the god of silent stones. He was born like his parents however he was incredibly ill and was given a tear of Terralis to heal his disease, thus transforming his skin to rock and turning him into what he is commonly known to look like. Their family lived in Caphilius. (Vulpien for 'Kingdom of the Gods') Dawn and Dusk looked after their four beloved children as they played with the mortal creatures of the surface. Dusk was the leader, almost like a king, however everyone was treated equally. They continued to live this way for many years, Ignitius grew up in the spotlight, always first to be called and named. Geomargon was almost never home, he travelled the land below nurturing the mortal creatures that he was ever so fascinated by. Aerijar was the silent type, studying and reading tales of the four creators and her parents tales. Aquariun was playful and very mature although he enjoyed playing rough with his elder brother, Ignitius, time to time. This was the life they loved, until four more children were delivered into their lives.

Jascita
The Four Prerequsite
Dawn gave birth too four more children, these were the four prerequsites. They, unlike the elementals, were necessary for the society of the Vulpen. These four were the minds of the Vulpen people. The first was Jascita, she was the goddess of wisdom, she knew almost everything there was to know and gave knowledge to the people of Vulpen. Costorian was next, he was the god of war and gave the Vulpen people power. Then came Gemiya, goddess of courage. She gave the people bravery and faith. The last was Maloai who was the goddess of love who gave them passion and relationships. These four took after their elder sister, Aerijar, being humane like. They were very close as young children. Dawn and Dusk gave more attention to them making Ignitius annoyed however he learnt to cope with this. The four grew up without ever experiencing the surface, they had been brought up to watch over the people and not interact with them. This allowed them to not be bias towards certain individuals. They loved their family especially the tales their father told them. One of their favorites was 'The Bee and the Wasp'. He would sit them down and tell thim story before they had to sleep. He would pull up a chair and read "One sunny day, their lived a little bumble bee. He danced around the flowers, spreading their pollen. He and his friends would work very hard everyday to make honey. One day a mean wasp came along and ordered them to make him honey". This is where Costorian would interupt and ask, "Why is he ordering them to do work for him, they should just beat him up!" their father would just tell them that the wasp was very big and strong as he continued on. "The bumble bees had to work extra to spread the pollen and make honey for them and the mean wasp. One day the wasp got greedy and ordered them to make more and more until there was no honey left for the bee's." Maloai would gasp and Gemiya would cheer the bee's to step up to the wasp. "The wasp kept eating their food and soon the bee's started to die off until there were no more to make honey for him. Soon he ran out of honey and died off too, the end" Their father would leave them to discuss. "That is so sad!" Maloai would reply. Costorian and Gemiya would often argue on how the bee's should of beat the wasp while Jascita questioned the meaning. "Is the story telling us to work together or that wasps are mean?" She would ask confused. Life was great, the elementals were much older and kept the world in balance whilst the younger four would watch over the people while their parents would watch over them. However, life would soon change.
